They do love nerds, if you're also good looking, that is. I've been told I'm a nerd by girls who were obviously attracted to me. Clearly it wasn't a bad attribute, quite the opposite. Also, it depends on what kind of a nerd you are. Being a smart, academic, well-read nerd is different from being a gamer or comic book geek, with the former obviously being the better kind for most women.
