I am not acting superior necessarily. I don't know in which regard you think that I seem to think I'm superior in. I understand that my preferences are solely that: my preferences. It makes me feel better about myself yes(simply because I have these views and this specific subjective value hierarchy). I don't think it makes me better at all though in a universal sense. I understand that these differences in behavior/opinions are mostly, arguably even solely, because of external factors.

Yes, I do it because it makes me feel good because of my personality. I am extremely high in agreeableness, which is broken down into politeness and compassion. So high that I multiple times every day wish I was low in agreeableness because being so high affects my life negatively in so many ways and situations.

because ofcourse helping someone below you is an act of kindness but also because it reinforces your superiority
