Another strawman from this forum's finest schizo. Fats in general aren't necessarily problematic, as they're simply a source of energy. Cholesterol can accumulate in arteries over time, ultimately restricting blood flow.

fundamental misunderstanding of what causes "clogged" arteries. When you get inflammation your body literally plugs holes (like if a submarine was getting holes udnerwater) and your body plugs it with cholesterol as a stop gap so that you don't internally bleed out. It's inflammation that causes clogged arteries not from eating cholesterol.

And the primary cause of inflammation is free radical damage and oils oxidize extremely fast, especially when heated or cooked with, and so when you consume oils you are intaking a ton of oxidative damage.

Well done meats as well as fried foods are gigantic inflammation causing foods

Atherosclerosis is a cumulative process from aging (I suspect that cumulative microinflammations can cause it). I agree that inflammation exacerbates the process, but implying that cholesterol buildup cannot occur from it simply "floating" in the blood stream (regardless of excessive inflammation) is questionable, especially when the blood stream is oversaturated with it (from dietary intake).

I agree that cooked oil is inflammatory, which is why I don't cook with oil. However, oil is an easy way to get calories without fiber, so I'm not entirely opposed to using it to reduce bloating.

It's necessary for bodily function, but it isn't "good for you" in excessive quantities.

Obviously in terms of the actual physical size/quantity of something is bad but nothing in natural raw meat or blood you can have too much of

It's more common as people get older due to plaque buildup. And implying that significant inflammation is necessary for cholesterol buildup is questionable because cholesterol can still accumulate on the walls in a very gradual (albeit slower) manner.
