This is my DIY canthoplasty guide featuring @kittysaar

DISCLAIMER:
Educational purposes only. Performing surgery on yourself is risky and if done wrong can cause nerve damage, infections etc. If you are going to do this don't be a retard and start slashing away at your eyes. If I have missed anything in this guide feel free to let me know.

Me and Elijah have videos up on TikTok performing this.

5. Recutting

Tools and Materials

Important part because some people like to grab a random kitchen knife and think they can start cutting their eyes with no consequences. The tool I used to perform the cut was a razor blade I snapped in half, a scalpel would be more ideal though however you can easily buy these from amazon or you can buy a replacement blades at your local store. Both do the job.

Here is a random one I found for cheap on amazon.

Other things you will need are
1. Alcohol wipes (optional, not for sterilization but for cleaning)
2. A mirror obviously.
3. Healing creams (I will recommend the best brands later down)
4. Sterilized gauze or fabric.
5. Iodine swabs
That's pretty much all I used and the same goes for Elijah, of course there are additional stuff you could do but that's what I used and it worked for me.

Sterilization

Even more important because if you mess this up you WILL most likely get an infection and fuck everything over so make sure to do what I did. Make sure to boil your tools in distilled water for minimum 20 minutes, this kills more bacterial spores than just wiping it with alcohol. Do NOT rely on rubbing alcohol, it is less effective against spores and biofilms so just boil your tools and you will be fine. Once boiled for minimum 20 minutes dry your tools with sterile gauze and avoid touching them until you start. If you don't have sterile gauze you can always buy them on amazon for cheap OR you can just use paper towels and let the blade dry on it. Make sure you also properly wash your hands if you touch anything or better wear gloves (I did not wear gloves and it worked out alright but regardless better safe than sorry)

Step by Step

Here comes the actual tutorial on how to do it. Once you are at this part by now you should already have everything disinfected and cleaned. Wash your face and if you have long hair make sure to tie it back. Wipe the outer area of your eye with iodine swabs and wait for it to completely dry because you do not want these chemicals in your eye. To make the incision with your blade use the tip to make a tiny horizontal incision at your medial canthus, ❗The cut should be no longer than 2–3mm and no deeper than 1-2mm keeping it in the epidermis and shallow dermis layers❗
Some mild bleeding or seeping is normal which you can just apply a piece of sterile gauze or a clean cotton pad to clear the blood. If it bleeds a lot, you probably cut too deep or hit something you shouldn’t have but just hope for the best that you didn't.
MAKE SURE TO ALSO AVOID THE ANGULAR VEIN (blue) AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO BELOW

Screenshot 2025 04 14 015234

Aftercare

Right after the cut, clean the area using sterile saline solution you can get something like simply saline from Amazon or your local pharmacy. If that's not available, boil some distilled water for 10 minutes, let it cool completely, and use that to gently rinse the area. Over the next couple of days swelling and slight redness is normal and to be expected. Make sure to keep disinfecting the wound and try not to touch it with your hands, like rubbing your eyes etc. Just in case make sure to always wash your hands to reduce the risk.

Don't

1. Don't apply Vaseline or anything occlusive immediately as it can trap bacteria.
2. Don't tape the area shut unless you're trying to close it (which defeats the purpose of elongating it retard).

Do

1. Let the wound stay slightly open (don't stretch) so it can heal as a line and not a sealed scar.
2. Apply light, sterile gauze if needed to protect from dust or touching during sleep.
3. Sleep on your back, do not sleep on the side of the cut.

Recutting (When and why)

Recutting, When should you recut your medial canthus and why should you do it, You should wait a couple weeks before you start recutting, if you start recutting too early it could lead to broken tissue, a messy scar and a risk of infection. Ideal time to start recutting is around 4 to 6 weeks post healing if you want to maintain or extend the length of your cut. Why should you recut? Recutting lets you refine the length, angle or re open a scar that's healed too softly. Each cut helps train the skin to hold the extended canthal shape when you are forming a scar line to make your medial canthus more striking. When you recut the process is the exact same as when you first cut. After 2 to 4 recuts over several months is usually long enough to train the skin to heal in an extended more defined shape and give it a permanent slit/scar that extends the canthus. As said before same process as the first time every couple weeks.

That's all.

This is my first guide post on org, I rarely go on here but many people where asking for a tutorial so here it is. Let me know in case I missed anything as its currently 2am and I'm high as fuck.

A canthoplasty is supposed to tighten the eyelids and cover or move the medial canthus.

Ur creating a literal scar over it and probably exposing the medial canthus even more, but hey whatever makes u happy.

View attachment 3645444

Sterilization

Even more important because if you mess this up you WILL most likely get an infection and fuck everything over so make sure to do what I did. Make sure you also properly wash your hands if you touch anything or better wear gloves (I did not wear gloves and it worked out alright but regardless better safe than sorry)

Step by Step

ASSICURARSI DI EVITARE ANCHE LA VENA ANGOLARE (blu) COME MOSTRATO NELLA FOTO SOTTOSTANTE

View attachment 3645444

Post-cura

I'm doing my skincare routine day and night; cleansing, moisturizing, etc. If I decide to do this, should I just leave the medial canthus area alone during skincare? Sorry if this sounds dumb as fuck 😭😭
