I can't imagine the whole earth as a one country. Political diversity is good. If you hold conservative views, then you can move to Eastern Europe. If you are tolerant, then you can go to Canada or France.

I‘d agree that‘d be weird. One big nation with one Government is also too much control. Imagine how much any politician in your country has , 1000x that and that would be the power he holds over the entire world in the scenario you are describing.
