EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BONESMASHING
For the bhais that think bone smashing is creating bone Js gtfoh

First, what exactly is fibrosis even?

fibrosis is essentially the excessive formation and deposition of connective tissue, particularly collagen and other extracellular-matrix components, usually as part of an abnormal or prolonged healing response. this can make an area thicker, denser, and stiffer, so in some situations scar tissue can physically increase the apparent volume or projection of a region. however, that doesn’t mean it creates healthy functional tissue, and it definitely isn’t equivalent to stimulating bone growth. fibrosis is basically the body trying to repair or reinforce damaged tissue, and excessive fibrosis can actually interfere with normal tissue architecture and functions like blinking etc

So for the stupid lazy people that don’t wanna read allat basically fibrosis forms scar tissue that does help with the projection of certain areas but will weaken tissue strength and you’ll look 70 when you’re 40 JFL ik most of this is water but some people dk

Now, on to a different way of bsing with mechanotransduction. Usually fibrosis is done by harder, less frequency objects like hammers or fists while mechanotransduction is done with massage guns .
mechanotransduction is different because it describes how cells respond to mechanical forces. cells such as fibroblasts can sense forces through structures involving integrins, focal adhesions, the cytoskeleton, and mechanosensitive signalling pathways. those mechanical signals can then influence things like gene expression, cell behaviour, collagen production, and extracellular-matrix remodeling. pathways involving FAK, Rho/ROCK, YAP/TAZ, calcium signalling and TGF-β are some of the mechanisms involved.

so technically, mechanical loading can influence connective-tissue remodeling through mechanotransduction, but more mechanical force does not automatically mean more desirable tissue growth( HENCE WHY I STRESS THAT THESE STUPID FUCKING RETARDS STOP THINKING THAT HITTING HARD WITH A HAMMER WILL SAVE THEM ) sustained or excessive mechanical stress can actually promote fibroblast activation and fibrosis, creating a feedback loop where more matrix deposition makes the tissue stiffer, which can then further stimulate fibroblasts, which MAY SEEM LIKE A GOOD THING, but will also impair muscle strength and movement and could lead to severe nerve damage and loss

SO BASICALLY

My main point is that

high frequency + low force(massage gun) will equal to lots of small mechanical signals and potentially repeated remodeling signals( through ECM)

low frequency + high force (fists and shit) has fewer but larger mechanical signals with greater chance of tissue damage if excessive → potentially more fibrotic repair( good if you wanna have half your face stop by 30)

Since force on faces isn’t measured by newtons but by micro strains, a lot of the information is not fully accurate, however I still believe that we should treat bsing through remodeling slowly instead of excessive damage with low frequency and high force with more fibrotic repair. So yea this is my take on bsing if you liked this gimme rep also ask me anything that I didn’t cover in ts
