Since the Soviet Union has collapsed in 1991, Russia got access to many international products/ technologies
With that came in the first american snacks/drinks, new devices whatever
But the most interesting and at the same time haunting part is that the Anime / American Cartoon Culture got popular
People started discovering Mangas, Magazines the series and got obsessed with that
They drew Graffities, decorated their belongings
However what also happened at the same time is that many cities in russia got abandoned, as the mining facilities got either unnecessary or unsuccessful
A lot of them were located in the north-east side of russia where its super isolated and cold
And you might think now if youd return to those places that nothing would have been left
But if youd search a little on the floor, explore the garages, you might find a customized abandoned graphics card with custom designs
And some graffitties of them written on some military block walls
Looking something like this
The creativity they had in their mind and giving off a message based on this
Its crazy looking back at it knowing that more than 30 years ago this place was active and full of thoughtful teens who just disappeared in the void
watching these types of series in 1996 after school was peak back then
And if you will go back to these places, you will still see some journals, some drinks laying around
And you cant do anything but look back at the times
1000s of kilometers away with no sign of life
