you chase peace, and get bored.
you chase chaos, and become interesting.
you stop trying, and everyone wants you.
you care, and they vanish.
you study to be something, and become someone else.
you try to help, and they hate you for it.
you tell the truth, and they call it disrespect.
you lie with charm, and they call it charisma.
you work hard to earn rest — then forget how to enjoy it.
you get money, and lose hunger.
you get love, and miss the solitude.
you get attention, and want silence again.
you break out of the system, just to build your own.
you become free, and realize you're still you.
you look at the world, and wonder how it’s still spinning.
then you go back to brushing your teeth.
most people don’t think.
the ones who do, don’t speak.
the ones who speak, aren’t heard.
and the ones who are heard, say nothing.
you spend years creating a version of yourself that doesn’t feel like you.
then look back, and see the real you died quietly one night while you were scrolling.
you realize nobody’s watching.
then you realize nobody ever was.
then, finally, you realize that’s what makes you free.
and that’s when it hits you:
maybe the point was never to win. just to notice.to walk through it awake.
