GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) can SIGNIFICANTLY increase GH levels and I will show you why.
To start off I will talk about a study by the NIH which says “At rest, GABA ingestion elevated both irGH and ifGH compared with placebo. Specifically, peak concentrations of both hormones were elevated by about 400%” 400% increase is a significant increase and this is from just taking GABA and not correlated to working out or sleep.
Another study by MPDI states “Long-Term Supplementation of GABA Regulates Growth, Food Intake, Locomotion, and Lipid Metabolism by Increasing Ghrelin and Growth Hormone in Adolescent Mice” and “GABA significantly upregulated both the levels of ghrelin and GH, thereby modulating food consumption, growth, locomotor behaviors, and lipid metabolism during the period of adolescence.” Now you may say that mice are not good enough evidence but they share around 98% of our DNA so that should be enough evidence. This means that taking GABA is guaranteed to increase your GH levels.
The question still remains will GABA affect your growth, I think yes GABA can effect your growth but not the way you think, now Im not claiming it will turn you into a 6’6 chad but I do think it can have positive effects on your height and face by giving you a little extra GH during puberty.

Growth hormone isoform responses to GABA ingestion at rest and after exercise - PubMed
Our data indicate that ingested GABA elevates resting and postexercise irGH and ifGH concentrations. The extent to which irGH/ifGH secretion contributes to skeletal muscle hypertrophy is unknown, although augmenting the postexercise irGH/ifGH response may improve resistance training-induced...
