what is causing water weight and how do get rid of it? also does gaining water weight automatically mean your are not in a defecit?

no thats not what I mean at all

I just mean that 1.5kg is well within the bounds of random fluctuations in your bodys water content due lots of different factors so dont stress it.

I can waker up one day 72kg another day 73kg, another 72.5kg, theres always a bit a random fluctuation

seems logic tbh, but i immediantly think that water weight gain means automatically i was in a surplus but thats not the case right(
 
Water weight like said. You can easily vary up to 4 pounds or so depending on carb intake. Generally the more carbs the more water rention but salt can have a short term effect also.

you lose bout 1kg every night just from sleeping- also on hot day if youre excercising and not drinking water you can lose like 3kg from sweating. Equally a high carb salty meal and make you wake up like 1-2kg heavier then usual the next day if youre not used to eating many carbs, but the actual amount of fat gain is only like 100g max
