I’m 16, 6’3”, 240 lbs.

I’ve been trying seriously to lose weight for a long time. I’ve dieted hard, worked out consistently, and even cut food down to around two meals a day with some light snacks. Despite this, the harder I try to lose weight, the more weight I seem to gain. In the last month alone, I’ve gained over 10 pounds, which has been extremely frustrating and confusing.

At this point, it feels like my body is fighting me. Hunger is constant, stress is high, and nothing seems to move the scale in the right direction, even when I’m doing what should be working. I’ve tried different diets, workout routines, and approaches over many months, and I keep ending up worse instead of better.

Because of this, I recently decided to try a GLP-1–based approach (retatrutide / “Reta”) to see if addressing appetite regulation and metabolic signaling helps where diet and training alone haven’t.

For those with experience using this, how much should I start taking?

2mg then titrate up, also stick to the same couples meals.

I’d prolly do 20 week cut,

2mg for the first 4 weeks,

3.5mg - 4mg for the rest,

You can up towards the end but I’d wait 2 weeks to up the dose. It will really keep ur appetite in control so you really gotta plan what ur gonna be eating

How's your thyroid? I'm not familiar with pharmaceuticals but your thyroid could be the root cause. I'm not sure though, I'm just a retard.

I've tried all GLP1s the one that works best for me is Semaglutide paired with Cagrilintide

Dosing is very individually dependent. For example Im very sensitive to retatrutide and get sides even on low doses.

On the contrary when I take Sema I don't need to build up the dose because I don't get side effects even If I start with high dose.

My advice is start with low dose just to test how you react to the drug and go from there.

Ok thank you

Wtf so your thyroid is good? How's your light environment & stress? Maybe you could try experimenting with ketosis.

Thyroid labs are normal. Stress and sleep could be factors though. Light exposure probably isn’t optimized. Can you explain more about how ketosis might help in cases like mine?

More stable insulin. Hunger hormones will be regulated such as leptin & ghrelin. The purpose of dietary carbs/sugar is to store fat. Your body will use ketones. I would recommend experimenting with it for a while to see how you feel along with the results.

Eat steak & eggs. I personally eat about half a pound of muscle meat & 8-12 raw eggs every single day. I've tried experimenting with organ meats but I didn't see much of a benefit. At one point I started reading about iron overload & became concerned. But yeah for me personally, I saw no benefit to eating organs.

I still do occasionally eat small amounts of liver for vitamin A & Copper.
