Many people here besides the fact they don't look very good, have also poor social skills, so they could definitely benefit from learning game.
When I was a kid I was very social, had a lot of friends, had no problems talking to anyone - boys, girls, adults, etc., but as I transitioned to the teenage years, I noticed that people started to treat me differently, all the guys would put this fake, macho persona on them, they would pretend to be cool and act in ways that for me seem very retarded, but the girls seem to love this...
So, from 14 to 18, I've spent all my time with nerds, at least they seemed genuine, and we talked mostly about nerdy stuff like video games, movies, science, technology, aliens, etc. and had almost no interactions with the girls, I missed some really important developmental milestones in this period.
At 18 I became hugely interested in them, but realized I had absolutely no idea how to talk to them. By chance however, I've found on the internet the PUA community and thoroughly studied everything about the subject. I applied all the knowledge approaching, talking and flirting with many girls girls, and even though my success rate was pretty small, I went on dates with dozens of girls and had three girlfriends.
So...yeah, I could say game really helped me, without it I would have had no idea what to say, how to act, how to escalate things with girls, etc.
Don't expect any miracles however, if your looks/status is very low, game won't do much, but without game it's highly likely you'll fail unless your looks/status/money is overwhelmingly high.
