they have normalized being bad at video games. like, if you dont play it in the most braindead way possible there is something wrong with you.

if you dont max out Vitality and spam great greatswords in Elden Ring, if you use magic in Kigndom Hearts, if you use Gambits in FF12 then you are weird.

you have to be bad, you have to suck its the norm now. And the worst is that they tell you that you are weird indirectly like "I never bothered experimenting with different weapons it feels counteintuitive" so you are weird for being a better player than they are.

I've found it to be the opposite. All the Pokemon players know all these different strategies, EV types, even use defensive and evasive moves, whereas I only ever use attacking moves.

Its the exact opposite, especially in games like elden ring if u don't playe it bare naked on SL1 using a dead fish as a weapon only, no summons, then you're a braindead casual and theres always this "git gud" mentality.

The biggest problem is ppl whine and complain too much. If u own a game then u should be able to play it how u want. Now ppl make up all these rules and try and gatekeep
