Why do you like to sit infront of a screen and spike your cortisol for 7 hours. The only exception is modded Minecraft or perhaps Terraria, but even still i wouldn’t waste my time sitting there playing 8 hours. 3-4 hours max in the evening after my daily tasks have been completed

Yeah 8h is very excessive i think most ppl that play regularly go for around 2h sessions max

Although if i had a looot of free time binging an entire afternoon playing a game or two wouldnt be bad tbh

Yeah the sweaties do but i think most gamers numerically are casuals that play for a couple hours

MOBAs fell off they used to be one of the most played game genres. Before them it was the downfall of MMORPGs

Single player open world games (including rpgs like skyrim, dark souls and witcher) have remained with a steady fanbase as well, among the most played genres but with spikes in popularity after a big title comes out

Ngl i’ll just cop gta 6 to kill people and not even indulge in the story. Every game i touched i never finished, even if i like the game. I just lose interest
