gaps in teeth

I know this may sound insignificant, but what does the presence of gaps in otherwise straight upper teeth signify? All of my upper teeth have a slight spacing, with each one having a small gap. This is not the case with my bottom teeth. I've always had this, and it seems less common in others

gaps are a good thing, it means your palate is large enough to have excess space and no crowding
