There are these weird little pockets of society where average dudes, even below-average ones, somehow end up dating and sometimes even locking down long-term relationships. These dudes are mostly SJWs that tell incels on reddit their problem is their personality even thought they act and look the same.
They're gatekeeping how they actually succeed:
1. Strict religions and cult-like groups
When a community is tiny and socially closed, everyone mostly dates inside the group. That means the competition shrinks and traits that aren’t related to appearance suddenly matter a lot more.
Inside these environments:
you’re constantly around the same people
outsiders barely exist
your social rep matters more than your psl and is not based on your lms
It’s basically a textbook case of “assortative mating under constrained choice.” When the pool is small, people choose based on proximity, shared values, trust, commitment and long-term stability. Looks don’t disappear, but they stop being the top filter. This is why guys who would get swiped into oblivion on OLD somehow manage to form relationships inside these bubbles.
Your best bet are Jehovah Witnesses (jw.org) and mormons (churchofjesuschrist.org), they are a fair compromise between pros and cons unlike smaller crazier cults.
2. BDSM and alternative intimacy communities (eg. fetlife.com)
These spaces are built on structure. There’s negotiation, clear roles, boundaries, aftercare and communication that’s way more explicit than in normal dating. Ironically, it ends up mirroring traditional relationship dynamics more than mainstream dating does.
Because of that structure:
like the first option, the pool is smaller
you interact with the same people repeatedly
non-visual traits have room to grow
If you can't conventionally ascend in any way and you don't want to follow the MGTOW path, these two options are what's left for you.
If you're more like the degenerate type and don't want long time commitments I'd obviously suggest you the 2nd option while if you're a tradcuck you can resort to the first one.
