Genetic determinism doesn't directly cause a jaw to look the way it ends up looking. The genes determine the habits that naturally occur in children while the face is still plastic and capable of transforming. Basically, mewing at a young age is normally decided by your genes even though learning to mew can help accomplish the genetic habit. You can train a habit obviously.
In these twins however, one was using palatal expanders and I believe he would also be mewing, but its hard to say because I didn't hear that when I skimmed through the video. Obviously, the more attractive twin got the more wholistic treatment. But the difference is not staggering. They are structurally the same people. Your ability to look a certain way is entirely genetic practically speaking, with the exception of human intervention. Mewing is good, I practice it and it is useful for raising the hyoid bone and maybe even changing millimeters of bone over years. but it is generally not the difference in being genetically healthy. The genetic attractiveness of a person's face is determined by immune system functionality, balance of sex hormones, genetic expressions evolved for billions of years, size, proportions, averages of faces, microbiomes, etc.
Ik, it's obvious. But the idea that most people could be attractive should continuously be dispelled because it's not true. the average person is the result of billions of years of genetic selection followed by a period of time where there was an 8x population increase with zero selective processes aside from money attainment, starting from when we were single celled organisms. we do very little of the heavy lifting in terms of changing our features/traits. that is up to nature or artificial selection. a small amount of it we can do ourselves but not most of it. collectively we should artificially select for better traits. since the industrial revolution we have not had selective pressures and therefore we are getting more and more unattractive and more and more attractive. the more attractive and intelligent people tend to reproduce with one another, which creates two dipoles in the gene pool. basically two gene pools form and there is very little cross over as time goes on. this creates a bottle neck in which bad and good genes are rarely transferred from one end of the gene pool to the other.
https://ourworldindata.org/world-population-growth
The world population 200 years ago was estimated to be 1 billion. the industrial revolution was the main causal factor in population increasing to 8x as much.
8x as many people exist than should normally be allowed to exist. they have no selective pressures facing them practically speaking.
with instagram and instant messaging the capacity to observe attractivness is only increasing. algorithms are tailored around attractive people on tik tok and instagram. we can see the top 0.1% of attractive people in a second now.
The Human Gene Pool Now
As time increases, this dipole will dramatically increase. keep in mind that you would have never seen as many or as highly attractive faces as you have seen in your lifetime across most of human history. basically what i'm saying is is that your last 20 ancestors didn't see even a fraction of how many hot babes you've laid your eyes upon. therefore, we are in the beginning of this dipole moment increasing, the polarity will only rise as a function of time moving forward. in 100 years, it will look more like the bottom image.
Human Gene Pool in 100 Years, Polarity of Good and Bad Genes Only Increases With Time
Also, I'm obviously wrong about the distribution of genes. I was trying to show the increase in polarity. The actual gene distribution will be an even worse version of this:
Realistic Distribution Of Attractiveness, Intelligence, And Health in Human Gene Pool In The Future Compared to Now
surgery only masks the problem of genetics by shoving entire sections of tissue into another area. its unnatural and unharmonious with the body, but it works for appearing better to the naked eye. most people simply statistically can't be attractive. unless you lower the standard of attractiveness.
Artificial selection solves this problem across generations. it is an obvious solution to an obvious problem.
"The modern individual focuses too narrowly on his own short lifespan... and wants to pluck the fruit himself from the tree he plants, and so no longer likes to plant those trees that demand a century of constant tending and intended to provide shade for long successions of generations" (Nietzsche, Human All Too Human)
In your efforts to become a superior version of yourself, recognize the potential to create a superior version of the world as well. We should aim to optimize for the good of all future human experiences as well as our own. This is negentropy. It is life and life's values.
The opposite of this sentiment is the inverted principles of life as follows:
"When some men fail to accomplish what they desire to do they exclaim angrily, 'May the whole world perish!' This repulsive emotion is the pinnacle of envy, whose implication is 'if I cannot have something, no one can have anything, no one is to be anything" (The Dawn)
This sentiment of anger and expressed hatred is pitiful. It is more powerful to observe a man transcend his suffering through aiding others than a man trying to destroy everything around him as a result of his own pitiful nature. Imagine being so weak and pathetic in your efforts that the only capacity you have is to make things worse. People of this nature should be pitied and thrown into a big blender. They embody entropy. They are useless to life itself.
