Hi, so i am getting braces very soon. i have an overbite as of right now, will getting my overbite fixed also fix my recessed maxilla? or do i just get implants

Iam not sure but I think ortho can fix your bite to a certain extent if the overbite isn’t too big.
But it can never fix the underlying issue of a mandible being too short horizontally or vertically.
Your face convexity will likely be the same, maybe your lips will have a slightly better posture because of better teeth support.

This explain ortho limitations compared to surgery for moving teeth.
