i think its more nuanced than that. if you are just scrolling through social media & ACCIDENTALLY come across a cp video and scroll past then you're not contributing

but if you follow one of those accounts or like their content you're showing the owner that you are interested in said content. and that's encouraging them to share and possibly produce more content.

every website has ads on it, especially porn sites. if you watch a porn video, both the website & the companies running said ads will be paid because your viewership is equivalent to money.

your presence on the site is counted as a view on said ads. so if there was theoretically a website posting cp on the clearnet & you were just watching it, you're still increasing the demand by paying the website posting it
