Genuine question. Why would disabled people believe in a god?

I mean from a disabled person pov god must dislike them or not care about them. I speak from experience as I have cerebral palsy in my left leg. I am very fortunate that it’s very mild and does not affect anything else. But I still wear a sports ankle brace anytime I go out and everytime I take a step it’s planned and thought out. I’ve been bullied my whole life and never had a serious relationship. I’ve had a relationship but nothing serious.This is why for me believing in a god doesn’t make sense. I am open to changing my mind however if someone brings a valid point.

a lot of religious people have horrible lives. You would think someone with a bad life would think that God isn’t real or if he is he doesn’t care about humans but it’s actually the opposite a lot of the time. People with diseases or issues turn to God to help them cope. It’s easier to suffer when you believe that your suffering means something and isn’t pointless. It helps them keep going. Religious disabled people don’t think God doesn’t care about them, they think that they’re going thru a test

Because they can cope and say it was “God’s plan” for them to be disabled

That’s all religion is - a coping strategy
