every time i try to speak to people who i dont know well i just can't think of anything to say. last time i went to a party i couldnt speak to anyone but the friends i came with and they were all talking to other people, so i was basically alone the whole night

Ik it sounds like cope, but if they’re not interested in you from the get go. Half the time it won’t work even if you share the same interests and stuff. From my experience at least q:

literally just say something nice about them or ask them a question about themselves. easiest way to do this is to go off something about their appearance or if you overhear something you can be interested in for a second. literally just be nice, warm, friendly, and show interest. sounds like gay bluepilled advice but honestly most people love to talk ab themselves especially to somebody who is genuinely showing excited interest in it

Make a comment about their looks, what they do for work/school, what they did before this, why they are here, etc etc. If they’re willing to reciprocate ask for more details or reflect the question on to yourself.

Don’t know what to say because I struggle with the same issue but I just want to say I feel for you and other people are with you.
