Question 6 (@Ozell Israelite this one's for you)

The modern-day city of Basira in Jordan was once known as Bozrah, which was the capital city of which ancient biblical kingdom?

Edom before they migrated into the land of Japheth (Europe).

Jasher 61:23 And at the revolution of the year the troops of Africa continued coming to the land of Chittim to plunder as usual, and 👉Zepho son of Eliphaz heard their report, and he gave orders concerning them and he fought with them, and they fled before him, and he delivered 👉the land of Chittim from them👈.

24 And 👉the children of Chittim saw the valor of Zepho, and the children of Chittim resolved and they made Zepho king over them👈, and he became king over them, and whilst he reigned they went to subdue the children of Tubal, and all the surrounding islands.

25 And their 👉king Zepho went at their head and they made war with Tubal and the islands, and they subdued them, and when they returned from the battle they renewed his government for him, and they built for him a very large palace for his royal habitation and seat, and they made a large throne for him, and 👉Zepho reigned over the whole land of Chittim and over the land of Italia fifty years👈.

Where is Chittim? It’s Italia (Italy), which is Rome.

So could Chittimite as a demonym be used to refer to the so-called Mediterraneans or Meds?

No, because the people in the Mediterranean Sea (Spain, Italy, and Portugal etc), are Edomites (so-called White people). Chittimites migrated to the Americas and became the so-called Native Americans after Edom overthrew them under Alexander the Greek.

Well, the Nepalese access part is true. But that doesn't change that:

1) an entire half of the mountain is in China, accessible or not,

and that:

2) I'm not rewarding points for your initial answer.

I'm curious as to why you refuse to accept Everest as also part of Chinese territory. It's a curious opinion of yours from my POV.

For the sake of this quiz, as well as any other quizzes, if a mountain or other geographical feature is even partially located in a given country, then it is part of that country. Sure, it might be more strongly associated or be a stronger source of pride or identity for certain countries that share said geographical feature, but that's arbitrary in context of the quiz itself.

Dawg this is not about points, this is about getting it correct.

It’s just not part of China. Dawg take the Netherlands-Belgium border for example, just because a house is on the border doesn’t make it both Dutch and Belgian.
The address is given based on where the entry is and where most of the house is in.

In the Case of Everest, both the summit AND most of the mountain is situated in Nepal. It’s not China. Fucking CCP Wikipedia fucks trying to manipulate all data, they’ve added china’s name to everything for no fucking reason.

You can “Jfl” react all you want, it’s not gonna change the FACT that Mount Everest is Nepali.

Dawg this is not about points, this is about getting it correct.
If the answer was correct, I would've given you the point. If I realized I was initially incorrect in my answer, and additional facts back it up, I would've changed the amount of marks awarded to your answers. I've done this before, so there's a precedent to this.

In the case of the Belgian-Dutch border in areas such as Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog, the country of which a certain house's address belongs to is determined only by what country the front door is located in, not where the majority of the house lies. Even when referring to an open-air, naturally formated geographical feature such as Mt. Everest, such an extension only makes partial sense. It's much easier define the territorial claims of something small and man-made such as a small Belgian/Dutch house, but borders for things like mountains where border walls cannot be constructed are much more complex than that. Thus, only choosing one side of the bread is a slippery slope. This is the purely logic-based reason as to why I'm considering Everest as both Nepalese and Chinese turf, rather than just adopting one possible answer.

But okay, let's assume that Nepal indeed lays full claim and is the only claimer of Everest's summit. From there, I want to ask you two questions regarding your claim about the other component of the Nepalese territorial claim:

1) When you say "most," what percentage of land is that referring to? "Majority" can imply anything from x > 50%.

2) Where are you drawing the boundaries between Nepal and China?

1683251006106

This Google Maps aerial view suggests that China actually administers three faces of the mountains, which would be a majority. If anything, this would refute your claim of Nepal's full ownership by means of a majority percentage of Everest belonging to Nepal. Which leads me to address this portion of your post:

Wrong. That is completely wrong to do. Stop it.
Correct yourself. It belongs to Nepal. Not China.
Stop being a CCP shill.

Stop it, China is a propaganda shithole
First of all, don't you think it's kind of disrespectful to retort to calling someone a "CCP shill"? It'd be totally fine if you were joking/trolling, but you clearly aren't here. You should be careful when saying stuff like this, even with .org bhais. In the name of being right(eous), you risk sacrificing the quality of the relationships between you and the people around you. Would or wouldn't you agree, based on your own experiences?

Furthermore, being so adamant on believing that I'd be politically motivated by the contents of something as benign as a 6-question geography quiz is an erroneous assumption. I don't know where you're coming from with your claims or why you're so persistent in trying to persuade me in believing Mt. Everest is not in the slightest bit part of Chinese territory, but I want you to know this: I never came from a position of political motive. I just wanted to provide y'all with a geography quiz. I'm open in changing my views on the Chinese-Mt. Everest topic, but instead of insulting me, I'd prefer if you'd provide some facts or other logical rhetoric as to why that is.

Lastly, I have a feeling that if I were not East Asian, you would've never brought up the CCP in the first place. Brutal lookspill.

Look, I understand that the CCP is well known for their manipulations of the truth. But to what extent is that true in this context? Do you really, truly believe that Wikipedia and Google Maps are both being infiltrated by the CCP, altering their services for the whole world to see? Has it occurred to you that Google and Wikipedia are currently banned in China? What's the likelihood that two entities from deeply opposed parties will try to cozy up with each other, especially currently?

Also, it's important to also take into consideration that the Tibetans have long had an association with Everest; they have their own names for the mountain, and they consider is part of their hearth. When China annexed Tibet, Mt. Everest became China by association. But the ties to "China" and Everest have much older roots, definitely older than 1924, where any sign of the formation of a CCP began to form.

I don't think continuing to bicker and bicker will do us any good. It's a headache, and it's a waste of our time. To this, I offer some solutions:

1) I award you with all six questions correct. However, not only am I already following and watching you, but if you accept this solution and see peace and resolve in it, then you've created a hole in your initial argument regarding the points/correctness dichotomy.

2) Tell you "yeah, you're right, Mt. Everest is only part of Nepal, and is not part of China!" Sure, that works. But how will you know if I truly believe it? Without more evidence of your claim, how convinced do you think I'll really be that you're correct? From that, a catch-22 forms because victory will be initially claimed, but skepticism will eventually pervade and the cycle of an argument like the one we're having now unfolding is inevitable.

3) Ask other users whether China owns part of Mt. Everest. But this might not really appeal from a logos perspective.

4) Just drop this whole thing, and move on. There're always other quizzes, and there's always more time to reflect and discover the correct answer.

Think of it like an electric field. You and I: two charges of equal charge, stubborn as mules, repellent of each other. A test charge: the correct answer. Oscillating back and forth over a given displacement, vacillating between what is and what isn't, and between what isn't and what is. The simple harmonic motion might be... simple, but when or how it will stop? That's a bit more uncertain.
