I wonder if something like this has been documented using the short form dopamine loop that's addicting and basically exploiting your brain to pair it with treadmill

sprints should be done on a track or grass bro
The whole point of getting addicted was exploiting my brain to associating the quick hit dopamije with cardio read the thread linked

dawg your just going from walking to a slight jog
10 mph isnt really a slight jog its sprinting and its max incline

its nice and all for cardiovascular health but still ever since ive discovered reta last summer just couldnt be fucked to even go back to doing incline treadmile

Possibly a retarded question because I don’t know exactly what causes the addiction in the first place, but couldn’t using nicotine strictly while doing the activity make you want to continue doing that activity?

So the idea is targeted towards people with ADHD? Basically get max stimulation while on the treadmill to create the association? Remove other forms of dopamine so that it's seen as the only joy in your day?

I'm able to go on the treadmill for hours while on my ADHD medication. It could be useful to train your brain to be less dependent on medication for certain tasks.

Are you able to think of anything other than the treadmill this may apply to?

Not exactly as the goal of this is to combine the serotonin and the scrolling to create a more powerful addiction maybe if your doing something tedious you split it into 100 sections then every section you get the dopamine completion from reward and you can doomscroll to maximize it but treadmill works o well bc you can do them both without just forgetting your hw or something and scrolling instead

I've heard conflicting statements regarding this. I've heard when doing pomodoro for example you shouldn't immediately go on your phone as you'll get distracted and ruin the state you're in. Instead, you should just stare at a wall. I often feel more productive once I stare at a wall for my pomodoro break over doom scrolling.
