Why? Is it because they're typically more aware about facial aesthetics and what works vs what doesn't?go to a woman’s salon.
women’s salon in general do better for any long hair type of thing. barbers are mainly trained around shorter masculine cuts, fades, tapers, lineups, clipper work, etc. once you start getting into layered styles, fluffy cuts, wolfcuts, mod cuts, curtain styles, face framing, volume, texture, and maintaining longer hair shape, salons usually know what they’re doing way more. they also tend to understand how to make long hair actually flow and sit properly instead of just shortening it awkwardly or making it bulky in the wrong places. especially for fluffy styles, salons usually pay more attention to movement, weight distribution, bangs/fringe placement, and how the hair frames your face from different angles. they’re more used to scissors only work too instead of relying heavily on clippers. Why?
