maybe going in person is the way rather than being an online cuck

Nepotism is the only way to get hired

It’s only easy if you took that initiative. They like people who do that. Had you applied online, they likely wouldn’t have reached out to you.

My first job was at a supermarket and I only got it because my brother worked there. The nepotism part does have truth to it.

even when I got it, the job took mf forever just to get my first shift. I got officially hired, but then it took me MONTHS to get my first shift, even with my cousin begging the manager there on my behalf to just give me something.

so just imagine if i weren't a Mc-nepo-cousin then :feelswhat:

Mirin, the manager gave you the McDelayed. It’s strange it took them that long. I was 14 when I got hired, even though it’s not legal to do that. I only worked there for a month. I quit because I was too slow for the job. I had nice colleagues though. I remember I still had an entire large cart full of items and it was around 7 PM or 7:30 PM, my colleagues were female and a few years older than me. They said “We’ll take it from here, you can go home. You have school tomorrow.” Women used to be nice to me. :FeelsSadDitch:

Not really.. I've been looking for months now and nobody will hire me.

Probably because I'm 5'6 and I sound like a retard.

Now that you mentioned it, i do wish i worked retail rather than fast food. whatever chain u go to, ur guaranteed to have a shit job that's stressful w/ shit pay. :fuk: i rmbr as a McSlave, i'd go into my local grocey store and be jealous of all the guys who got to work in shorts just getting paid for restocking shelves + helping customers. i try not to be ignorant but there's NO WAY my friend who works at kathmandu has it harder than me.

this also reminds me of a funny story from mcdonalds. when i was new, i was obviously slow and shit at the job. once we were in a rush and i was taking my sweet ass time frying apple pies while we were getting bumfucked since we had none ready. at the end of the rush, my coworker ended up blowing up at me saying smth like "YOU'RE SO FUCKING SLOW HOLY SHIT" and he had to go into the breakroom with music to cool down otherwise he prob woulda bashed me:ROFLMAO: ironically though, he ended up becoming one of my best friends at work later on.

I was offered a job at a fast food joint a few months ago, but I ended up not going at all. I was offered a kitchen job, so I’d have to do the same stuff as you. I feel like I can’t do a job like that. Flipping burgers and whatnot unironically takes some kind of skill or ability, and it’s one that I lack. And you know what? That second story? It’s very familiar. I’ve noticed I became great friends with people I had gotten into a fight with. Doesn’t have to be physical; verbal works as well. One of my brothers’ best friend? They became best friends after they fought each other. 25 years later and they’re still best friends. Strange, isn’t it?

bro pls don't ever get a job working food. working fast food made me realise that i'll NEVER become a chef (not that i ever planned on it). just frying food and making burgers for 8 hours was taxxing enough on me as a 15cel. being a chef just amps up every single hard part of it and cuts out the small benefits u get from fast food. and making the individual orders at mcdonalds really isn't that hard, the difficulty is just trying to manage multiple and becoming good at it.

Thanks for the tip! Yeah, luckily I didn’t take it. Currently I don’t have a job, but I should start applying again. Ramadan is almost over and my fees are mounting up, I pay like €500/month for university and university-related crap. :FeelsStrongMan:
