But if you are east african/asian/your ethnicity is generally not known to have the strongest build, people will almost always ask this because they subconsciously don't think people of your race are capable of being built like anything more than a starving war refugee

Most of the time this question is asked to people whose physique would be considered average or even below if they were another race, jfl

I nooticed this because a Somali guy I know wuz complaining about it. He said that people constantly asked him this (despite his build being average for a gym goer) to the point where he was convinced that it was racially motivated. Well, good on him for picking up on that
