When youre drunk, the alcohol interferes with your nervous system, slowing down your reaction time and brain function. But at the same time it also stimulates the release of dopamine.

You start to feel as if all the doubts you had while sober about how you act in such a drunken state were just a bunch of paranoid nonsense. Pretty much every decision becomes a good one in the moment, and it feels great to casually do shit you would typically be overthinking.

Then once you become sober again the next day, that low inhib version of you suddenly vanishes, and now you feel like you were being a complete retard when you were drunk.

However, despite these thoughts, you still go back to drinking again.

Because it can act as a crutch in social situations, because you want that feeling it brings you again, the embarrassment you may have felt before slowly starts to fade as time goes by whilst the memory of how freeing it felt stays with you

I enjoy being drunk because of the feeling it gives you with the instant dopamine reward, and because it acts as a social crutch for an ND fuck such as myself

However im also extremely paranoid of what i may do when drunk, yet i cant get myself out of the addiction. Ive done some extremely stupid things when drunk that almost destroyed my social reputation so i need to stop urgently somehow
