To be very good at gaming you need to have Good strategy, Working memory, Fast term planning, good team work skills, and fast reflexes. These are all things you need to play modern games (Fortnite, COD, VALORANT ETC) although these are signs of high iq if you can get good at these games fast, the game that has the highest correlation to iq is chess hands down. I do actually agree with you that someone who is high iq won’t usually spend their whole life playing games. Unless they make bank from it like professional gamers, but i’m just saying that they don’t have to make it their whole life it’s just if you play a game for a week and your already above the average player and you see a pattern in that chances are your high iq.
