There’s always an Aristotelian balance to things. Men being too neglectful of politician in mass leads to the downfall of nations, while being too preoccupied with politics as you say, can stop men from accumulating wealth, and overall improving their lives. There’s a good balance in the middle where you’re educated enough about politics as to know what is going on within the government, but not too preoccupied as to not be able to prioritize your basic needs in life (job, food, income, relationships, etc).
