So I spoke to my orthodontist and he said he could do 6 months of aligners to fix my jacked up teeth

IMG 20250626 145012

He said he would increase my pallet of about 2-4cm, do some minor teeth shaving for room and asked if I would want my teeth retracted or protracted. My layman knowledge is to prefer my teeth to be retracted to give a flatter smile to look better. What do you guys think?

yes - then I can claim it as a business expense :)
That's smart, maybe I should start a looksmaxxing channel and get double jaw surgery, and put that as a business expense :lul:

I mean... if you have proof of actually making an income from it I guess? But I'm not a tax accountant tho - my accountant says I am kosher to put any cosmetic procedures against my income.

You can make income from YouTube, it just takes time to get approved by monetization, or you can get lucky, if your video get viral :Comfy:

I mean, if I can reduce my expenses, why wouldn't I utilise it? I was planning on making a looksmaxxing channel anyways, to document my ascension, and discuss my autistic theories

And this is a weird fucking question to ask as an orthodontist, I'd suppose they know what looks better.

But if I understand what they mean, is that they can either push the teeth that are behind more forward, or pull the teeth you have more protruded backwards. I would just ask him which one would make the pallate wider, I think it correlates for some reason.

And if it's not related to that and it's just the final angle, all of the people I have seen who had braces (including me) have a slight protrusion. Luckily mine is very small, some people are left with more noticeable protrusion but still, I think most of the perfect smiles have that, kind of.

I don't know, which one do you like better out of these two?

Can't you just ask what they think is best, and then tell them to make them as straight as possible leaning to the way they prefer? hahaha they are complicating it for no reason :(

I photoshopped some theorized changes to my face after Invisalign / minor palate expansion my orthodontist planned. Straight away, I noticed the wider/flatter mouth would really ascend my facial harmony.

My narrow lips kind of make my philtrum look too long, with a wider mouth, not so much.

my opinion is to get a expander and then invisalign

I think you mean millimetres, not 2-4cm JFL.

Proclining or retroclining incisors will change your nasolabial angle by rotating the upper lip. You could factor this into your decision.

Yea looks about 4mm of dental expansion the thing is dental expansion in adults tend to relapse even if you have a retainer due to buccal tipping ur teeth want to tip inwards because of ur cheeks, Meaning wearing a retainer is a must for 5 years plus, every night or more.

I hope your wisdom teeth have already come in. I spent 4k on Invisalign and then my wisdom teeth fucked me. Now I am due to spend a few thousand more to correct it.
