Getting lean is so hard

I’m like 12-15% bf rn but I used to be 260lbs at 6’ and I still carry a bunch of lower abdomen fat even tho the rest of my body is lean . I have a slight muscle pump and veins showing all day but my face looks different day to day even tho I’m eating low cal meals hitting my protein goal working out and getting my potassium in and doing 40 mins level 11 stair master everyday and im not seeing results . Im tryna get more muscle on my frame but also tryna shred and get to like 7% bf and stop this puffiness… idk what’s going on im also on 6mgs of reta fighting the hunger suppression

i heard a carnivore diet (fruits as well and other misc stuff) has helped some people in that sense, you should look into it

thats not how bf works, you wouldn't carry lower abdomen fat because you were fat, it's because of ur fat distribution genetics. ur definitely not 12%, you'd be shredded. people very often overestimate how lean they are.

thats not how bf works, you wouldn't carry lower abdomen fat because you were fat, it's because of ur fat distribution genetics. ur definitely not 12%, you'd be shredded. people very often overestimate how lean they are.
he is most likely under counting his calories, on a mostly carnivore diet you basically eat eggs and meat, sone healthy carbs as well and fruit but not so much as to not enter ketosis, higher protein from meat has a higher thermic effect and your body burns more calories digesting it, how exactly is that terrible fucking advice? not to mention for me its so easy to stick to a mostly carnivore diet cuz i eat eggs and meat all day and minimum meal prep

not to mention in order to progress in the gym you need carbs

literally just find out your tdee and track all your macros, it's that easy.

thats why i said mostly carnivore, you can eat very few carbs and still be in ketosis. if his main goal is gym gains and not losing bf then i understand but you can still progress in the gym on a keto diet, of course its not as ideal as a carb diet but you still make gains. i am just saying that if he has a hard time not eating and tracking a keto diet could help him and he should look into it if it aligns with his goals

carnivore is inferior in every way when it comes to progressing

if he has trouble with calories, just track them. it's not hard. you get used to tracking everything after the first 2 weeks.

i dont even think about it anymore. i automatically weigh all my food now.
 
I could post my physique if that would help you guys tell me what I need to do my body looks so sickly tho
