This is kind of true. Unless you like the girl, being around people in relationships isn’t that bad compared to seeing people in your immediate surroundings do better or live a more healthy(social or academic life) then you for years on end. It’s not even FMO, you just feel stuck while everyone kind of matures.

Couples on the other hand have internal issues or the food is hypergamous, cheating or the other thousand completely effective ways to cope. You can’t cope away being lifemogged that much though.
