Gonna get under-eye fillers for my recessed lateral orbital rims. Probably a more permanent solution if I like how it looks after I get them.
Couple of questions:

- Does it matter which surgeon I get it from?
- Is there any long-term or short-term concerns?
- Anybody else have experience in getting them?

Look at the surgeons result before you get it

- I'd suggest going to an experienced aesthetic injector (someone that is qualified either as a registered nurse, doctor, or dentist). A lot of injectors have different 'styles', methods, and techniques. Viewing their previous work will give you an idea of how they work.

- A) The under-eye is a very vascular area, so expect some bruising. Also, the skin here is thin - which is why it is important to under-correct this area at the point of injection, to allow the hydrophilic process of the hyaluronic acid to absorb water, over time, once the filler has been injected.
B) Lumps and bumps can form in this area, due to skin laxity and the absence of oculi fat pads. This differs from person to person. If you have any lumps or bumps after the four week point, I'd suggest you go back to your injector ASAP.

- Yes. It's a great area to treat if you are a good candidate for it. Depending on your anatomy and starting level, your injector may also treat your medial cheek and perhaps your malar fat pad in conjunction with your under-eye. This will help blend the transition between your under-eye and your cheek; otherwise it can look quite jarring if your tear-trough is restored, but your medial cheek is flat and hollow.

Just do the permanent solution and avoid shitty thing like fillers.

Soccer moms or you yourself can do it. It's literally just botox under the eyes. It's a waste of money since you have to do it every 6 months but if you have the money then why not, easier than surgery.

I wanna see how it would look at least once before I drop a bunch of $$ on a permanent solution.

I got it done. Very happy with the results. I was also wanting to try it before splashing the cash on a permanent solution but I’ll just do fillers for a few years tbh. I only had a small dime sized bruise that lasted for a month but other than that no lumps

Dont take cialis or dick pills before hand, it will leave more bruising. They say taking 5 grains of arinca 4 days before and 4 days after helps preventing bruising but I forgot to do it so I cannot say if it does indeed work.

Go to a person that doesn’t over do it. I still have cheekbones which is so so very important.

Thanks for the reply man.

I see so many places in my area that do it so I’m unsure on which place to go for. Since it’s a common procedure I don’t think anyone really specializes in it right?

Compared to rhino where you want to research and consult multiple doctors before going through with it.

So picking good reviews should be good enough ?

Once you know the anatomy, there is really nothing to it. That’s why loads of places do it. You for sure want to go with a person that doesn’t use too much, rather just the right amount. If you are able to see before and after photos or read reviews. You want to stress the point of you wanting to go for a natural look.

The guy I went with nailed it perfectly

Try fillers first with a good surgeon and if you like it then do a fat graft there for more permanent results, it does depend on your cheekbones though as others mentioned
