i’m on month 6 of accutane and rn i’m on a pretty high dose of 80mg a day and my acne is pretty much completely gone but my skin quality is horrible. i have pie(post inflammatory erythema) and im going to get laser treatment for it but u usually have to wait for ur skin barrier to heal before u get it. i wanna pin ghkcu but should i take it on accutane or finish it first? also can ghk heal pie? and does pie go away on its own after accutane?

Yes — PIE often improves significantly on its own after finishing Accutane, but it takes time.

Typical timeline after finishing Accutane:

  • 0–3 months: skin barrier still fragile, redness obvious
  • 3–6 months: noticeable improvement in PIE
  • 6–12 months: major fading in many people
  • 12–18 months: near complete resolution in mild–moderate cases

This happens because inflammation stops and blood vessels slowly normalize.

PIE is not permanent in most cases.

Laser speeds this up, but time alone also works.

Run an antioxidant stack like 1g of vitamin C, minimum dose of vitamin E, TUDCA, DHA EPA, and you'll speed up recovery and lower inflamation also maybe improve microbiome health, especially if you fast too
