wont lie this does happen and well that’s mostly because women who know they’re around men who are superior to them(I’m talking about when men are superior in terms of status looks or anything materialistic in particular), these women usually insult them so that they can live in their own delusions convincing themselves that he still isn’t good enough and well this is what I have collected after witnessing this happened to my friend, I did explain the lore in the post
