You're right, but one word i wouldnt use is 'look past'. I know this from experience from years of relationships, but girls never truly look past your flaws, especially the big ones. They might PUT IT ASIDE if they deem that you're worth it despite your flaws, but they still notice and keep them in mind.

A good example would be my first girlfriend, i was with her during a period where i didnt put any effort into looking good, so my flaw was being slightly on the fatter side. She said straight to my face that she loves my body and that i look like a 'greek god' but one day when i looked through her messages i saw her gossiping with her friend about it negatively.

They won't say it to your face but your flaws do bother them and they'll always impact your relationships in a bad way untill fixed. If they aren't fixed (or even worse - get bigger) then after enough time they will leave you, it's as simple as that.

Let's say you're an absolute unit of a manlet - 5'5 or even shorter. You might find a girlfriend who loves you for who you are, a caring, kind, and modest person. But she sees everywhere around her taller men, she sees her friends with taller men and she sees girls online talking about taller men. In her minds it's a flaw.
