On Wikipedia it says they were told it was for a private video that would only be sold as a DVD to rich Chinese oldcels.
But in the fight the new drug interview, she says that only once she got to the hotel room, did they tell her that it was a porn video and that they threatened violence when she refused and blocked the exit.
The former I have no sympathy but if the 2nd is true and they were coerced then I can understand it kinda, if they thought they might've been killed
