My dermatologist prescribed it very easily. Just set up an appointment with a dermatologist and say that you tried topical minox & that it didn't work for you.

Is oral Minox good? I heard it's bad for your heart. I might get on it after my HT tho

It's very good IMO because it gives you hair growth all over. This includes your eyelashes, your brows, etc. If you have naturally long lashes then they will become mogger on oral. I much prefer it over topical because I wanted hair growth & beard growth. Applying the topical solution (foam or liquid) is very annoying and you'd need to apply it everywhere you want to see hair growth in. I take 5mg and have been taking it for around 6 months so far (started with 2.5mg because I also was worried about heart problems) and it's been perfect for me.

Do you just want to see growth on your scalp? TBH, topical applied 2x daily with dermarolling might actually be superior for hair growth than taking oral minox. If you want your eyelashes to grow as well and maybe your beard too, then taking oral would be superior for the convenience aspect alone, not to mention it just being more efficient.

Don't go above 5mg and you don't need to worry about heart problems.

I personally have never experienced bloat on minox tbh maybe I don't bloat easily but I've heard a few people say it bloats them. I just have never experienced this myself.

how long does it take to see results? I heard just like topical minox it can be months until you see a change. Was considering doing 2.5mg sublingually nightly.

For me personally, I've seen very minimal results when it comes to hair regrowth. I think it's important to keep your expectations minimal. For me, I saw the biggest changes in my beard and my eyelashes. My eyelashes always looked good, but on oral minox they started looking mogger. My beard started to fill in more in the spots that were looking a bit sparse. If you're taking 2.5mg and expecting actual HAIR growth, you'd need at least 6 months to start seeing results. I am of the opinion that 2x topical application a day + dermarolling will mog 5mg oral, if given the same 6 month time frame. There's no downsides to 2.5mg oral minox imo so I'd say go for it. Not a strong likelihood of 2.5mg affecting your heart whatsoever unless you're prone to the sides of minox.
