Started using tretinoin and kept it up for a while but the ‘purge’ never went away. Constant periods of skin irritation dryness and peeling for months until I stopped no fixing piss poor sensitive skin genetics. Not much of a benefit apart from the fading of some old acne scars.

Right now all I am using is Vit C serum and a cream with niacinamide and it’s no where as strong as I need it to be.

Apparently Adapalene is a good alternative as a third gen retinoids without nearly the same risk for skin irritation.

Calling high IQ users to tell me whether or not this is legit or not.

idk man isn't tretinoin for skin lightening? Just fix your diet a lot of skincare is bs

my doc said apadalene was just tret and benzonyl peroxide together but i kind of forgot so dont take my word for it

stopped using that shit tho im mainly just focusing on gutmaxxing and other stuff than skincare since that never worked great for me

I think you might have been using a compounded version, Differin doesn’t have benzoyl peroxide.

What are you doing exactly diet wise? Because honestly I don’t really notice much difference with my diet and skin except for acne.

unsure what I was using exactly but it could be that, might have to look for it tbh

diet wise i wouldnt really eat that good. also I do have acne so im looking towards resolving that (i also have ingrown hairs from shaving, if I visit a dermatologist hopefully they'll refer me to getting laser hair removal)

i suppose getting better sources of natural collagen such as fish skin can generally help my skin a little. im not exactly sure what to do for diet yet since im 16, trying to lean down, and trying to do all of the stuff that I say im going to attempt to do

Fish and omega 3’s are an underrated aspect of diet here. Imo fish as a staple generally mog most other meats. Consider also adding some sort of liver (beef, chicken doesn’t really matter) very high in bioavailable vitamin A.

Try reducing your carb intake or just take the adapalene, but tret is 100% better than adapalene
