No, this argument is regurgitated by people who don't understand how a state works. Voting doesn't matter and it doesn't change society. Because even in a so called democracy or republic there are several tiers of power over the electorate and the elected officials, with the ultimate power being capital itself, and people supposedly making decisions but it's ultimately coming back to money and power.
