always wondered, can they still do jaw surgery with crowns and fillings etc? my teeth are fucked and i refused jaw surgery at 17 for some reason.

I've asked this during consults for my case. There's zero issue as long as the teeth can move. When you wear braces, however, the braces may damage or stain any restorations you may have.
