when i started using tret it had nuked my skin barrier ( started with 0.05% everyday ) intense peeling and redness around my mouth with dry fucked chapped lips , all my friends were asking me wtf is wrong with your face bro ?
now about 4 months later one of my friend literally said " bro your skin is literally reflecting light like crazy wtf , do you apply some chemical ? "

Yes the results long term are the same between them but Taz is more aggressive and will give much faster results but WITHOUT the irritation from Tret since Taz is way more selective and doesn't touch RAR alpha. The RAR alpha is the one commonly associated with irritation.

You may as well switch since you are staying with Tret for no benefit at all, only drawbacks. No one should be using Tret.

i had great results with tret , stop downplaying it so much and for some rather tret > taz many people face more irritation and peeling with taz it really is dependent and not some black and white answer for all skin types.

for the beginning 2 weeks i was applying moisturizer literally every 2 hrs cuz my skin barrier was nuked it used to burn when i used to apply moisturizer + intense as fuck peeling i remember my lips were so fucking chapped that i couldnt even open my mouth it used to fucking hurt so much . my friends were constantly asking wtf is wrong with your face bro ? shit became worse when a stranger came up to me and asked are you ill or something you are skin looks angry
but ton shit of moisturizing ( literally ton shit like i used 2x100ml moisturizer bottle in 2 weeks lol ) with vaseline can fix it easily just stick with it and now i get complimented for my skin lol thats why im gladd i sticked with this shit for the skin i have today it was 100% worth it

now i just apply it on dry skin when my tube would be finished ill switch to taz tbh
