Porn is the entertainment medium with the lowest set bar, so I'm not surprised no one writes about it. People on here complain about a lack of care and artistry in Hollywood but porn is way worse. There's like 1 actual kino scene for every 1000 that get made. Glauren Star's scene in Double Penetration Tryouts 5 from Pink Visual is probably my favourite scene of all time. If you search for it the quality is awful on tube sites but it has:
1. An actual set up and plot that begins the scene, continues throughout, and has a conclusion. I don't think this stuff is pointless. It makes everything hotter and makes it easier for you to place yourself. It helps immensely with suspension of disbelief, which I honestly believe is crucial to pornography but severely overlooked. To illustrate this point, have you EVER come across a porn scene that breaks the fourth wall? I haven't and I think it's for good reason.
2. The lightning and cinematography is completely on point. At one instance there's a shot where the cameraman is on the floor shooting up toward the ceiling. You get this pure kino angle of Glauren getting railed from underneath. You see this type of stuff in hentai all the time but it's rarely executed properly in live action pornography. I shouldn't have to illustrate what bad cinematography is in porn, everyone complains about it but it happens way too often. JAV is usually the most competent at proper mise-en-scène, but outside of Japan it's rare.
3. In regards to the performers, the guys are relatively normal everymen with big dicks. This should honestly be the gold standard. Too many male performers try to "brand" themselves and it just detracts from everything. Glauren herself is without reproach, god tier girl next door alt chick. Insane loss for the world that this is her only decent scene.
The industry is fucked though so none of this will ever be fixed. I'll just hold onto the gems of early 00's porn kino that I have.
