He probably is a sociopath because he can never keep any relationships but his point is still true. What you said only applies to your tribe which is your exact ethnicity and related to you. The systems throws a bunch of strangers together. And "caring about others think" means being paranoid about a hole in your shirt for example. It's all about normie social living laws that only harm you in the end.
