While LDARing I came across noticeable parallels between the lifestyle of Goatis and Diogenes. I figured this might make a decent first post here.

Diogenes was an ancient Greek philosopher, and one of the founders of Cynicism. (water)

Cynicism, an ancient Greek philosophy, holds that humans are rational beings whose happiness and purpose lie in living virtuously according to nature, simply, shamelessly, and free from social conventions, while rejecting desires for wealth, power, fame, and possessions.

Known facts about Diogenes' lifestyle:

  • Lived in a barrel in the marketplace, owned virtually nothing
  • Openly gooned in public, indifferent to others' opinions
  • When Alexander the Great encountered Diogenes and asked what favor he desired, Diogenes replied, "Stand a little out of my sun."
  • He (possibly) ate raw meat

Goatis advocates the same ideas, though his IQ likely resides in the double digits.
