We are the only species to be able to comprehend the fact that creation of life is not a "good" thing, but most fail to see that. People reproduce for selfish reasons.

"Family gives me purpose bro! :soy: "

Dumbass retards. I do not have words which contain enough weight to it to actually put into perspective how retarded most human beings are. We have the ability to think for ourselves for a reason.

You are your body.

For example: you can't actually wish you were someone else (while simultaneously claiming to be objectively intelligent). Saying "I wish I was *person*" is like saying "I wish this circle was a rectangle"

It was never possible. A circle is a circle and a triangle is a triangle. We are our bodies.

Now, getting to the truth:

There is no purpose to anyone's/anything's existence. All that is important, was only made to be thought of (by people who can't think for themselves) as important.

Death is just a word for the state you are in when your body stops working. When your body stops working, you will stop existing. Human beings can't comprehend the fact that there is no "feeling" when you are non existent. And also can't seem to digest the reality of purposelessness of our existence. Therefore, copes like religion are socially acceptable and prominent even in "modern society"

When everything in your body works probably, there's a "you" (Consciousness)

When shit stops working, "you" don't exist anymore

Your consciousness is created by the harmonious functioning of your body, and death is when things stop working, so "you" cease to exist

You are your body.
Nothing more, nothing less. There is no point in thinking "I wish I was born as *person*!" because it's not like there was any potential for that to happen in the first place. You were born as you because you were created (by your parents). You are your body.

There is no "soul" inside you. Your consciousness is your body, and just because you can't comprehend that doesn't mean you should cope by believing in lies. When your body dies, you die.

Soulcoping was invented by natalists to justify the act of conscious creation of life.

Wrong!

It's literally impossible for consciousness to cease to exist because then it would mean that nothing (absence of consciousness) could turn into something (presence of consciousness) and vice versa. If you're having a difficult time comprehending this, note the literal meaning of nothing; the complete absence of consciousness - Essentially for consciousness to exist it means there must've have never been as absence of consciousness because then how would consciousness manifest from nothing in the first place - Thus consciousness has always existed and always will exist and if you are consciousness then you will always be consciousness.

Not to say that a soul exists, in the Abrahamic Theology sense, but what this means is that your consciousness cannot be wholly confined to your body and in theory you should be more than your material vessel (your body).

I don't agree. Consciousness is literally just part of your body. "How can consciousness come from nothing bro?? :soy: "

You came from nothing. You were only born because you were conceived at the moment that you were. Your body came from nothing. Same with your consciousness.

"Fundamental nature of reality" :lul:

I read everything you said, and it just seemed like you were trying to cope with the pointlessness of life.

"You" before birth (inexistent) = "You" after death (inexistent)

Your consciousness is a part of your body, and your body was created from said nothing.

The truth, as brutal as it is, is quite comforting.
If you truly understand what you are (you are your body) and go against your biological "programming" (Never reproduce), you will never feel "hurt"

Only us humans are capable of doing the right thing, but most of us fail to see it as it is.

5 THINGS THAT ARE OBJECTIVELY TRUE

2. You are your body

3. Minimizing pain is the best way to live life

4. Coping is inevitable, and everything is cope

Although I will voice one minor disagreement - knowing the truth won’t protect you from harm. It is at best a mild, temporary salve (like all good copes [which is ultimately everything humans do, as you mentioned]), one which enables you to articulate the why behind your suffering, and thereby acts as a psychological pressure relief valve

The universe always existed infinitely in time

It didn't "come from nothing", as it didn't "come" at all

The point is, something always existed

Everything that exists now didn't come from nothing

This is the only thing I said in the above thread which sounds close to what I think you misunderstood and are referring to in your previous reply:

If i cant have an infinite past then the universe shouldnt have one either. You cant just say that 'I' cant have infinite past then turn around and the universe can. If time and causality apply tom me unless you have good reason instead of resorting to special pleading without justification. 🤦

I didn’t come from nothing—I came from parents, biology, atoms, energy and sperm. All of that came from the universe. So I’m a product of the universe, not a spontaneous appearance out of nothing. If you say I came from nothing, then it’s even more likely the universe could have. But in reality, neither of us came from nothing. That claim is just waffle.

Something always existed, so everything we have now, came from something (which always existed). You yourself didn't exist sometime before you were conceived, which is what I meant by saying that you came from "nothing" (Inexistence)

You came from inexistence, the "something" didn't as it always existed. Got what I meant?

You didnt refute my infinite past argument, you just said the universe can have an infinite past but i cant without justification even though both are under time and space and are affected by causality. you just used a special pleading. :feelsuhh:You can’t just say I can’t have an infinite past because of time or causality, then turn around and say the universe can. If time and causality apply to me, they also apply to the universe—unless you have a really good reason to treat them differently.

Refute this or keep coping

This proves that the Universe has a beginning so it cant be the the thing that has existed for eternity/infinitely.

Since the Universe has a beginning. What caused it?
Something that can cause a Universe.

That something has:
Extreme Power - To create everything
Extreme Knowledge - To know how to create everything
Intent - it chose to cause the Universe at a specific point which means it has a conscious mind. if it didnt the Universe would exist eternally with the cause since cause and effect work mechanistically.
Eternal- You already know

Time is infinite, and causality doesn't apply to the universe as it has existed infinitely.

"But I'm a part of the universe!" is something people say, but I don't think that's true. Just because you live in Bengladesh doesn't mean you're a part of it.

The universe didn't have a beginning. I used the word "something" instead of the universe since I thought you were confused by it (my bad)

The universe has an infinite past.

I don't deny having low iq, since I never really tested it, but what I do know that what I said in the first post on this thread is true. Don't argue with me since there is a chance I might be Low IQ, but I really do believe that what I said is true.

Alright, buckle up, because this hot take needs some serious unpacking.

First off, this whole “people just reproduce for selfish reasons” thing? That’s a wild oversimplification. Sure, some folks might have selfish motives, but for many, family and purpose aren’t just some dumb societal script — they’re deeply meaningful connections that enrich life. Calling everyone who values family a “dumbass retard” isn’t deep, it’s just toxic and kinda sad. Also, throwing around ableist slurs doesn’t make your argument stronger, it just makes you look out of touch and bitter.

Next, the bit about “you are your body” and wishing to be someone else being like “wishing a circle was a rectangle” is... okay, hyper-literal much? Identity and consciousness are way more complex than just atoms in meat sacks. People can imagine, empathize, grow, and change in ways that transcend your simplistic geometry analogy. Plus, wanting to experience life as another person isn’t about physics; it’s about curiosity and empathy — skills that make us human and interesting.

On “there is no purpose,” congrats, you’ve pretty much recited every nihilist cliché on the internet, but just because you feel life lacks inherent purpose doesn’t mean it’s some universal truth. Purpose is subjective and culturally constructed, sure, but that doesn’t make it meaningless — it makes it personal and dynamic.

About death and consciousness being just “your body working” — science backs that, yes, but your take on it being sad or copes is just your personal viewpoint plastered as the objective “truth.” People find comfort and motivation in different beliefs, and those aren’t always “lies” or “coping mechanisms” — they’re often complex frameworks to navigate the uncertainty of existence.

Finally, throwing out the soul as “soulcoping invented by natalists” is... uh, hilarious. That’s just a conspiracy theory without any real basis. Souls, spirituality, and beliefs about existence have existed in thousands of cultures before “natalists” were a thing. Reducing deep philosophical and religious traditions to some natalist propaganda sounds desperate, not profound.

Wrap up: Sure, life can feel meaningless sometimes, but dressing it up in edgy pessimism and calling everyone else dumb isn’t philosophy, it’s just a bad mood with a keyboard. Maybe try some empathy and nuance next time?:feelshah:

Souls, spirituality, and beliefs about existence have existed in thousands of cultures before “natalists” were a thing. Reducing deep philosophical and religious traditions to some natalist propaganda sounds desperate, not profound.

Wrap up: Sure, life can feel meaningless sometimes, but dressing it up in edgy pessimism and calling everyone else dumb isn’t philosophy, it’s just a bad mood with a keyboard. Maybe try some empathy and nuance next time?:feelshah:

Most of the replies are just:
"Shit thread"
"Retarded thread"
Etc

Like bruv you're not contributing.

"Haha shit thread 😂🤣 dude really said *insert something I never said*"

Atleast this jasgews dude sounds like he's onto something (Even though I don't believe he is)
Tbh this thread's topic is just too plain to be Interesting enough for people to argue about

Like everything just started cuz humongous explosion, and yup now we'z here without our consent functioning and according to that no one is a bad person

1. You don't serve a permanent purpose in the grand scheme of things

2. You are your body

3. Minimizing pain is the best way to live life

4. Coping is inevitable, and everything is cope

5. Every cope is pointless, since everything is purposeless

Very similar to my views but mine are more nuanced

Like i agree that everyone is faultless for who they are but they should still be held morally responsible to the consequences of their actions
