Yep, some are just meant to suffer. We simply must deal with the cards we are dealt. This doesn't mean God is evil. Nor is God good all the time. God is sovereign and allows for what He sees fit and we are not (nor will we ever be) in a position to challenge His judgment.

This is at least my take on suffering.
