Going contact lens shopping today with gf

For context my eyes are dark blue but I want light blue

I bought online ages ago like 3 different types from the most expensive vendors mentioned on this forum

They all looked like shit

They either didn't fit my iris size or looked unnatural, or were too dark or too light etc

How.do we get good ones?

the only good ones are with the hatching pattern. you'll never get any that are 100% there it'll always look odd from some angles because eyes are 3D, concave and dilate often. this is basically putting a 2d sticker over a really complex 3D shape. not to mention how hard it is to put it dead center in the middle.
