You can't control what people think of you, that's narcissism. Much better to present an emotionally honest version of yourself rather than living some fantasy of being a perfect person when
1) 99% of people don't give a fuck either way
2) even so, it's better for your own happiness and relationships to be comfortable with your weaknesses, dont take yourself so seriously and you will be a more interesting person
Don't cut off your friends, if you want to change people's perspective of you then do it gradually with practice, otherwise you'll just look like a poser.
