Just don't do that stupid stuff. Accutane and whatnot. Don't waste your time going to a dermatologist either over something like back acne. How old are you?

Is there a food high in vit b5?
You can get enough b5 in a normal diet in terms of DRV, but for acne we need to megadose.

I take a "NOW" supplement from iherb (250pills x 500mg) , it was pretty cheap so don't worry.

If you do take it then i recommend supplementing with biotin minimum 2 hours after taking b5, b complex some hours before b5, and take l cysteine with the b5 (2/1 ratio, so twice as much b5)

Ofc you could take b5 alone and not lose hair but it's just to be safe

Any improvements? Does it improve acne scars?

its not just back acne, i've been getting it all over my arms ever since i started a new medication so i wanna see whats going on, might actually have an infection requiring antibiotics

low dose accutane has less risks

also im in my early 20s i shouldnt have acne like this anymore

So far i've taken it for 2 weeks and there is very noticable improvement. I don't get cysts anymore when i used to wake up with new ones daily and the post acne redness (PIE) is slowly turning lighter. But it shouldn't improve actual scars, for that you can try tazarotene or microneedling

i can't, would cause excess oxidative stress which my genes can't handle

plus sounds like cope anyway if i'm going to damage my dna rather do it the 100% way
How does it cause oxidative stress?

also it's not cope it works really well - there are lots of videos on youtube about the results and on reddit

excess vitamins create an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species and the body's reductive capacity

my polymorphisms are mutated already so I have poor reductive capacity as is, I don't want to exacerbate the problem with vitamins that likely won't benefit me

i know accutane can cause DNA damage but idc cuz at least I know it works

Accutane do 100% more damage then taking one suplement....

b6? i think you mean b5.

Also i meant that a possible side effect of megadosing b5 is hair thinning, i don't take b5 to reduce hair thinning because megadosing b5 can actually cause it (as a side effect) so i do shit to prevent this: biotin minimum 2 hours after taking b5, b complex some hours before b5, and take l cysteine with the b5 (2/1 ratio, so twice as much b5) .

l cysteine actually makes b5 more effective so you could then take a smaller dose of b5, so you save money and hair
